#OneChicago will be back this fall. Although a four-way crossover between all of Dick Wolf's Chicago-based TV shows will not take place before spring 2016, a budding romance is touted to blossom between two characters from two different series.

In season 5, "Chicago Fire" paramedic Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) will romance "Chicago P.D." detective Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda), Entertainment Weekly reports.

"It [Brett and Dawson's romance] started to gain some traction because of the actors," executive producer and creator of both the shows, Matt Olmstead, told EW. "There's plenty to play in terms of the May-December version of Brett to Antonio — his character has a couple kids, he's divorced, no way should he be with this woman, but she's had her heart broken. She's looking for a real man, he qualifies. He's looking for a real soul, a real heart, and she qualifies," he explained.

This isn't the first time two Windy City-based series have had cross-show romances. Recently, "Chicago Fire's" Mouch (Christian Stolte) married "Chicago P.D.'s" Platt in season 5 of the parent series. Even Lindsay from the police department had a failed romance with firefighter Severide. Given that all the series are based in Chicago, it does not seem unlikely that a romance would blossom across various departments.

However, Olmstead acknowledged that such affairs are difficult to facilitate in terms of the schedule. Still, there is no doubt that cross-show romances draw in audiences and enhance character development.

Nonetheless, one thing Brett and Antonio have to worry about is Gabriela Dawson (Monica Raymund), Antonio's sister and Brett's colleague. "In the middle of it you have his sister, who works with Brett," Olmstead says. Will she give her blessings to the new couple?

"Chicago Fire" season 5 premieres on Oct. 11, at 10 p.m., while "Chicago P.D." season 4 premieres on Sept. 21 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
