DJ Khaled achieved two major accomplishments today with his latest album "Major Key" after nabbing his first no. 1 on the Billboard 200 and beating out Drake's lauded "Views" album.

Just days after its release, DJ Khaled soared to the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart with his ninth album, "Major Key," taking the spot from Drake's latest album, Billboard reported.

This is the first time for the 40-year-old producer to hold the no. 1 spot on the chart.

DJ Khaled took over Drake despite releasing his latest album exclusively through Apple on July 29 under We the Best/Epic Records. "Major Key" did not become available on other streaming services until Friday, Aug. 5, Entertainment Weekly noted.

DJ Khaled's "Major Key" received 95,000 equivalent album units during the week of its release, beating out "Views'" 80,000 on the same week.

Drake's "Views," which was officially released late April, has held on to the no. 1 spot for 12 out of the 13 weeks it's been on the Billboard 200. It temporarily ceded its spot to Blink-182's new album "California" for a week back in July.

Despite their current rivalry on the Billboard 200, Drake is featured in one of DJ Khaled's tracks, "For Free," which landed on no. 14 last week and continues to rise on the chart.

Meanwhile, Twenty One Pilots' album "Blurryface" holds on to the third spot, while "American Love" by country artist Jake Owen grabbed no. 4 on the chart.

Rihanna isn't leaving the Billboard 200 any time soon as her album "Anti" remains at no. 5 on the chart despite having been released in January.

On the other, Adele's monster hit "25" dropped a spot from seventh to eighth.
