"Legends of Tomorrow" executive producers Phil Klemmer and Marc Guggenheim have revealed a few new details about Nick Zano's character on "The Flash" - "Arrow" offshoot.
As previously reported, Zano's Dr. Nate Heywood is a historian and a grandchild of Commander Steel, a member of the Justice Society of America. Although Nate becomes Citizen Steel -- a former member of the Justice League of America -- in the comics, the executive producers of the CW series won't confirm whether Nate will eventually follow his grandfather's footsteps as a superhero.
"He's a civilian," Klemmer told TVLine during a group interview at San Diego Comic-Con last month. "He's sort of our audience's point of view. Coming into this world, he's the guy who hasn't traveled through time [and] doesn't have powers."
Guggenheim added that Nate was actually on the "Arrow" set when viewers first see him. Does this mean Zano will debut as Nate on "Arrow" before appearing on "Legends of Tomorrow"?
"Arrow" season 5 premiere is set to air a week earlier than "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 premiere, so Nate debuting on "Arrow" is completely possible.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that "iZombie" alum Matthew MacCaull will portray Nate's grandfather Commander Steel.
During the show's San Diego Comic-Con panel last month, Klemmer said that "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 is going to be "much more serious" than its freshman run.
"Season 2 is predicated much more on mysteries," he added. "Instead of one bad guy, they are responsible for [taking down multiple villains]."
This group of villains is called the Legion of Doom, and it is comprised of the Reverse-Flash/Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher), Captain Cold/Leonard Snart (Wentworth Miller), Malcolm Merlyn/The Dark Archer (John Barrowman) and Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough).
