(Photo : YouTube/Sean Gallup) Apple is expected to release the iPhone 7 on Sept. 19.

The hype over the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus is getting stronger each day, with images and video footages showing mockups, prototypes and smartphone parts emerging on Chinese social media site Weibo and on YouTube.

One of the newest photo leaks about Apple's upcoming iPhone 7 shows the display panel of the iPhone 7. The photo was discovered by Apple Insider on Weibo, and what is so striking about this display leak is the presence of two sensor cutouts on the topmost bezel.

The sensor cutouts do not match the one found on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s, and they also do not coincide with previous leaks about the iPhone 7 or any of its variants.

On the other hand, the left and right side bezels are identical to the ones found in the previous generation of the iPhone line.

Meanwhile, another recent leak showing the iPhone 7 or possibly the iPhone 7 Plus is a video footage of an Apple smartphone in action.

The video clip was originally uploaded by user GeekBar on Weibo, and it quickly found its way on YouTube.

In the leaked footage, the Apple smartphone could be seen running the camera app. What's strange about the prototype however is its different kind of operating system and not Apple's iOS, according to Mic.

BGR's Zach Epstein also stumbled upon the alleged video footage of the iPhone 7 and wrote, "It is unclear whether he is in possession of the working prototype or if he managed to secure photos and a video from someone else."

While these new leaks do not coincide with the previous rumors, a mockup that Unbox Therapy featured in one of its latest YouTube uploads take the cake when it comes to consistency of the rumored specs and features of the iPhone 7 Pro.

The mockup is painted in a distinct blue tone, and it does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack. However, it does come with a Smart Connector, altered antenna lines, a lightning port and two sets of speaker grilles at the bottom, as per CNET.

Nevertheless, since all of these leaks, prototypes and mockups have not been confirmed by Apple, fans should treat them with a grain of salt and just wait until the Cupertino-headquartered company finally launches its iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus on Sept. 7.
