(Photo : Gene Page/AMC) "The Walking Dead" season 7 is set to shoot two scenes on Jekyll Island. Is the AMC series going to introduce the beach-based community Oceanside from the comics?

The first trailer for the upcoming season 7 of "The Walking Dead" gives fans a glimpse to The Kingdom -- a new community headed by the yet-to be introduced character named Ezekiel (Khary Payton). It seems, however, that the AMC series might also be introducing the Oceanside -- a community of survivors in the comics who are living on the east coast of the US near the state of Virginia.

This speculation started to circulate online when the Georgia Department of Natural Resources gave official permission to "The Walking Dead" production company Stalwart Films to shoot scenes on Jekyll Island.

According to The Spoiling Dead Fans, Stalwart Films are planning to shoot two scenes on the said location. The one involves two actors who discover a human corpse half buried within a small tidal pool. Further down the beach, another person is found washed ashore alive and is carried to a drier section of the beach. After being revived, the survivor runs away from the rescuers while they are distracted and is seen moving inland past the wrack line.

The second scene is much simpler. It only involves an actor seen walking through a section of a marsh at mid to low tide.

Besides the fact that these two scenes are going to be shot along a beach, there are no other clues that support the theory that the series is going to introduce Oceanside next season. But since the cast and executive producers of the show have repeatedly said that "The Walking Dead" world is going to get much bigger next season, the theory completely makes sense.

"The Walking Dead" season 7 will premiere on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
