Pearson Specter Litt will continue its operations for another season.

USA Network has renewed the hit legal drama for a 16-episode season 7, it was announced Wednesday during NBCUniversal Cable's day at the Television Critics Association summer press tour.

The renewal comes three episodes into the show's season 6 run and will push the Aaron Korsh-created drama through the 100-episode mark, the fifth USA Network scripted series to do that after "Monk," "Burn Notice," "Psych" and "Royal Pains," Deadline reported.

The series from Universal Cable Productions continues to be a solid ratings performer for the network. The current season of the Patrick J. Adams (Mike Ross) and Gabriel Macht (Harvey Specter) starrer is averaging 3 million total viewers and 1.1 million viewers among adults 18-39 when factoring in three days of delayed viewing.

In an interview with TVLine after last March's season 6 finale, Korsh said that he was "not sure" if the show was nearing its endgame.

"I just renewed [my deal with Universal Cable Productions] for two years, so I'm assuming we're likely to have a season 7, and it's certainly possible we'll have a season 8," Korsh told the website at the time. "I would say we're not in the upswing of the show's life cycle. There have been shows that have lasted a long time and much longer than us, twice as long at least. I don't know how close we are to the end, but I know we're very likely closer to the end than we are to the beginning."

As for Adams, he recently revealed to E! News that he felt the show was nearing its swan song. "I don't think it's designed to be a 15-year show. I think we have another season in us, for sure, of interesting story, maybe more depending on where we go after this prison storyline," he said. "There is some part of it that feels like it's quietly starting to end itself, and I think everybody sort of feels that."

Season 7 is slated to debut in 2017.

"Suits' season 6, episode 4, titled "Turn," airs tonight at 9 p.m. on USA Network. Check out the synopsis and preview clip for the episode below:

"Mike may take a deal to reduce his sentence; Jessica [Gina Torres] and Louis [Rick Hoffman] have different ways of dealing with their new tenants; and Rachel [Meghan Markle] represents a death-row inmate."
