Unfortunately for Lil Wayne, he'll have to wait a little longer before he can continue his lawsuit against Universal for royalties he says the company owes him.
According to JasmineBrand, a judge told the New Orleans native that he won't be able to fight the media company in court until he resolves his other suit against Birdman. As most know by now, Tunechi is suing his longtime mentor for a cool $51 million.
In addition, Wayne says Universal owes him royalties on Drake, Nicki Minaj and Tyga records, since he discovered all three of them.
Of course, Weezy's legal team tried to get the judge to change his decision but was unsuccessful and the way it looks, it could be a year from now until he's able to pick his suit with Universal back up.
On top of that, it'll probably be a long while before the rapper's case with Birdman is settled, so we probably won't get to hear the "Carter V" any time soon, since Wayne said the Cash Money boss has been holding it back.
Sadly, it doesn't look like the New Orleans spitter will be resolving any of his legal issues in the weeks or months to come.
