'47 Launches Global Artist Project With Reimagined Major League Baseball Fan Apparel And Accessories

'47 recently launched its Global Artist Project — a project giving international artists the opportunity to reimagine licensed sports apparel and accessories.
The brand chose six illustrators, graffiti artists and typographers to recreate the most recognizable Major League Baseball logos. The first collection includes MLB teams the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, Detroit Tigers, Oakland Athletics, San Francisco Giants and Cleveland Indians. The line features tee shirts, pullover hoodies and various cap styles.
French artist Matthieu Bessudo, known as McBess, is inspired by old cartoons and executed designs for the Yankees. Scottish artist Conzo Throb has a background in graffiti art and recreated the Athletics design.
José Sabaté is a famed graffiti artist from Barcelona, who is known for his smiling fish logo. He completed designs for the Giants. Netherlands artist Lennard Schuurmans, also known as Via Via, has a love for vintage design in art and clothing, and he developed a renewed logo for the Indians.
Christoph and Florin Schmidt are brothers from Berlin known as The Low Bros. The duo completed designs for the Dodgers. Meanwhile, Swedish artist Anya Blom, also known as Bless, is an emerging artist in the urban art scene who recreated deisgns for the Tigers.
