"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 filming has officially started.

On her Twitter account, executive producer Shonda Rhimes confirmed that the cast of the hit ABC series arrived on set for the 270th episode. Rhimes also tweeted that she never even thought that "Grey's Anatomy" would reach 13 episodes.

Meanwhile, producer Karin Gleason also shared a photo of an artwork that was posted on set during the first day of filming.

However, not all of the cast members were present on day 1. "Grey's Anatomy" star Caterina Scorsone said that she was not asked to be on the set on Monday.

The actress also urged her fans not to worry because season 13 is just starting, and there's so much in store for everyone.

"Grey's Anatomy" recurring guest star and producer Debbie Allen also expressed her excitement over returning to set.

In other news, Rhimes recently engaged in a Twitter Q&A session with the fans of all of her TV shows.

One Twitter user told Rhimes that she should consider recasting "Grey's Anatomy."

However, the exec fired back at the fan, saying that she should just stop watching the series altogether.

Another fan insinuated that Rhimes hates "Grey's Anatomy," but didn't explain where the statement came from.

The exec replied by saying that she cannot hate a series that she's been invested in for 13 years.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 will premiere on ABC on Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. ET.
