Tyler Hoechlin, who was cast to play Superman/Clark Kent on "Supergirl," has been spotted filming in Vancouver for his two-episode appearance in the upcoming season 2 of the CBS-turned-CW series.
On Friday evening, July 29, Hoechlin was seen filming in West Georgia Street in downtown Vancouver with his co-star Mehcad Brooks, who plays Clark's best friend James Olsen.
According to YVRShoots, the series filmed a hilarious scene, in which a purse snatcher was knocked out by simply running into Clark's steel-hard hand. After the collision, Clark and James just kept walking without skipping a beat. The website reported that Hoechlin and Brooks were both cracking up between takes.

Hoechlin will appear in the first two episodes of season 2, and as revealed during the show's San Diego Comic-Con last week, he will butt heads with his cousin Kara (Melissa Benoist) at the beginning of the installment.

"Clark has a very different experience of what it means to have superpowers on Earth," executive producer Sarah Schechter said during the panel. "[So] there's some real head-butting [between him and Kara] and philosophical approaches that are different."
Despite fans' excitement about Superman's arrival in National City, Schechter said that the character's role on the show is strictly supporting as the focus of the series is still on Kara.
"This show is about family," Schechter said during the panel. "It's about the family that you make as an adult and this family that's come together and then it's also about the family you came from, [and] we have Clark to represent the family. I think it's only natural now that Kara reconnects with him."
"Clark is the one part of her family that's still alive, now that Laura Benanti is playing Melania Trump," Schechter added during a roundtable interview with /Film. "[Introducing him to the show is] a way to learn more about Kara. Tyler is amazing."
