Teen Choice Awards 2016: Choice TV Breakout Show Nominees, 'Shadowhunters,' 'Quantico' & More

The 2016 Teen Choice Award show is here. With more than 20 categories to vote from, we're super-excited to see which TV stars and shows bag the awards this year.

Although almost all categories face stiff competition, the increasing struggle to pick a winner is clearly seen in the Choice TV: Breakout Show category. 2015 and 2016 saw some great new TV shows that became instant hits with us and many other viewers. While it may be hard to pick the best, there can be only one winner.

Here are the nominees:

1. DC's Legends Of Tomorrow

Out thirst for superhero TV series seems to be never-ending! DC's "Legends Of Tomorrow" wins brownie points for showcasing a team of superheroes rather than just one.

2. Stitchers

Freeform's "Stitchers" put a new twist into solving crime by having people being "stitched" into the memories of recently murdered people in order to investigate crimes.

3. Lucifer

Add a dash of humor, a touch of angels and demons and a generous of dose of the charming Tom Ellis and you get "Lucifer."

4. Quantico

Priyanka Chopra expertly portrayed an FBI Agent on the run looking for ways to prove her innocence in ABC's action-packed thriller, "Quantico."

5. Shadowhunters

The Mortal Instruments book series was unsuccessfully adapted into a movie, but the TV adaption certainly won over fans. It gave book-lovers a reason to love their favorite characters even more.

6. Supergirl

Superman's cousin is definitely the coolest alien on TV today. Melissa Benoist plays the caped Kryptonian in this CBS (now moved to The CW) series.

The 2016 Teen Choice Awards airs live on Sunday, July 31, at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
