"Scandal" season 6 cast members already attended their first table read.

Following last week's meeting, Bellamy Young expressed her excitement over the entire season via her Twitter account. According to Young, season 6 is going to be unbelievable.

"Scandal" season 6 cast member Joshua Malina also shared a photo of himself with co-star Kerry Washington via his Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Producer and assistant director Merri Howard also posted a group shot of all the cast members and staff who attended the first table read for "Scandal" season 6.

Prior to the table read, Howard also shared a photo of the empty tables and chairs inside the room that had yet to be occupied.

Meanwhile, executive producer Shonda Rhimes posted a video from the gathering. In the clip, she showed all of the cast members inside the room while welcoming everyone to the first script reading for season 6.

"Scandal's" premiere dates for the past five seasons typically took place in September. However, Washington's pregnancy caused the producers to have it moved to early next year.

When the series returns, President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) will no longer be the president of the United States.

Mellie Grant could be the next president, and Jake Ballard (Scott Foley) or Cyrus Beene (Jeff Perry) could be her vice president.

"Scandal" season 6 will premiere on ABC sometime in February.
