The Chanels are back, and they are surprisingly as fierce and as fashionable as before.

On Friday, July 29, Fox has released the first official promo for the upcoming season 2 of "Scream Queens." The 15-second clip sees Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts), Chanel #3/Sadie Swenson (Billie Lourd) and Chanel #5/Libby Putney (Abigail Breslin) strutting down the brightly lit hallway of the hospital which serves as the main location of the show's sophomore run.

Series creator Brad Falchuk revealed at Paley Fest (via Deadline) last March that the Chanels have "flipped and taken their education seriously while in the mental institution" where they were last seen at the end of the season 1. In season 2, they are going to be medical students under the rule of Cathy Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis), who now runs a hospital.

During the show's panel at San Diego Comic-Con last week, Falchuk's fellow series creator Ian Brennan revealed that the trio is "down and out" when fans first encounter them in the new season.

"They've fallen from glamour, but they're trying to hold onto it as much as they can," Roberts added. "It's funny seeing them try to hold onto their style when they have no money." As seen in the teaser, the Chanels are now making their own chic accessories instead of buying them from designer stores or probably having them personalized.

Besides Roberts, Lourd and Breslin, original cast members Jamie Lee Curtis (Cathy Munsch), Lea Michele (Hester), Keke Palmer (Zayday), Glen Powell (Chad Radwell) and Niecy Nash (Denise Hemphill) are also reprising their roles in season 2.

Joining them are a bunch of newcomers that include John Stamos (Dr. Brock Holt), Taylor Lautner (Dr. Cassidy Cascade), James Earl (Candy Striper), Colton Haynes, Cecily Strong, Laura Bell Bundy and Jerry O'Connell.

"Scream Queens" season 2 premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
