New York Fashion Week Men's SS17 concluded on July 14, and we are sharing five major trends spotted throughout the four days of runway shows and presentations.

Just in case you missed our coverage of the other shows, check out our spring/summer 2017 menswear trend reports from LondonMilan and Paris!

1. Shades of Pink

It is the men's season for pink - and all shades within the spectrum are accepted! From rose, bubblegum and neon, collections from Brett Johnson, Landlord and Deveaux presented looks with the playful color.

2. Vertical Stripes

Stripes are running north and south this season. Vertical stripes were presented in collections from N. Hoolywood, Kenneth Ning and Krammer & Stoudt.

The pieces are not mainly striped shirts or trousers, because this season's Fashion Week presented striped head-to-toe garments.

N. Hoolywood kept things matchy-matchy, whereas Kenneth Ning created a stripe-block approach with a cropped shirt detail and utilitarian pockets.

Krammer & Stoudt introduced a stripes-on-stripes look and mixed things up a bit with two different color stories.

3. Palm Leaf Prints

The palm leaf trend continues. The tropical print has embraced several menswear collections this season in a range of shapes, colors and fabrics.

Designers such as David Hart, Krammer & Stoudt and David Naman were just a few who introduced garments with the botanical print.

Hart's presentation was largely influenced by the surf culture of the '60s, while Naman's palm leaf design comprised blue and pink hues for a more playful approach.

4. The Traveler

One of the biggest themes throughout this season's menswear shows is travel. Designers are influenced by exotic destinations, leisure-filled vacations and the idea of exploring new lands.

This concept was especially evident throughout collections from Palmiers du Mal, Rochambeau and Eidos.

Garments were presented in global high-quality textiles with prints and silhouettes inspired by the cultures from Morocco to Tokyo.

This season, designers managed to create looks so effortlessly cool and Bohemian which nearly gave the viewers a feeling of being transported to the eccentric, beautiful travel destinations.

5. Animal Fever

A bold range of animal prints has introduced a fresh energy to menswear for spring.

Designers such as John Varvatos, Timo Weiland, Robert Geller and Ovadia & Sons presented looks featuring unique leopard finishes.

Varvatos introduced an abstract animal print in a sophisticated and edgy jacquard tuxedo, while Weiland presented a 1950s-inspired silk bowling shirt in a splashy leopoard print.

Meanwhile, Ovadia & Sons debuted a faux leopard fur coat.
