FX dropped the first three teasers for the upcoming season 6 of "American Horror Story" via Snapchat on Wednesday, July 27.

Although the clips didn't really reveal the plot of the highly confidential installment, the teasers did confirm that the season 6 of the horror anthology series will premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 14.

The series of quick yet frightening videos open with a distant farm house billowing smoke from the chimney. As the smoke forms the season's logo, a sound of a chainsaw and a woman's screams are heard in the background.

Things get more terrifying from there, as the second clip shows a baby mobile with a knife and other sharp objects dangling from it. At one point in the video, a bloody hand reaches the knife and pulls it down.

The final teaser for the mysterious season captures a woman running down a metal staircase attempting to escape a pair of hands reaching for her feet. Unfortunately for the woman, the hands grab a hold of her feet at the end of the video.

Plot details about the upcoming season are being kept under wraps. However, a popular theory circulating around the Internet, theorizes that season 6 will tell the story of Michael, the devilish baby that Vivian (Connie Britton) gave birth to and Constance (Jessica Lange) ended up taking in the first season of "American Horror Story," subtitled "Murder House."

Last May, "American Horror Story: Freak Show" and "American Horror Story: Hotel" star Finn Wittrock said that the new season might feature a smaller cast.

"I have heard it is going to be a little tighter -- there were so many story lines in the last one ['Hotel'] and it was so big and epic, I have a feeling it might be a little more claustrophobic. A smaller cast," he told TheWrap.

It's unclear whether Wittrock will return for next season, but Angela Bassett, Lady Gaga, Evan Peters, Cheyenne Jackson and Leslie Jordan are all confirmed to appear in the new installment.
