"Arrow" season 5 cast members recently opened up about their characters' fates in the upcoming episodes.

In an interview with TV Line, lead star Stephen Amell dished on what season five's central theme will be about.

According to the actor, "Arrow" season 5 will go "back to basics."

"This is not, by any means, the last season of the show. But this is definitely the end of a chapter in the show. It was a vision that was pitched as a five-year journey for Oliver, and we're really focusing on the initial goal of the show which is, we have to make Star City a better place to live," he said.

The actor also dished on Oliver's possible reaction when he finds out that he was the one who created season five's big bad.

Amell said that Oliver will most likely ask his friends for help in taking down Prometheus.

Meanwhile, "Arrow" executive producer Wendy Mericle confirmed that "The Flash" season three's Flashpoint storyline will also have a huge impact in The CW series.

According to the exec, the Flashpoint storyline will result in something bad in Star City. However, Mericle said that fans need to watch the show in order to find out what this means.

"It will have a big impact on the characters as it does have impact on," she teased.

At this point, the cast members of "Arrow" started cheering Mericle on for her intriguing statement.

In other news, Emily Bett Rickards also hinted on the possibility of her character Felicity finding love in the show.

"It is a true rumor. She steps on it pretty hard right off the bat. You'll meet him pretty quickly," she said.

Amell joked that Oliver will be fine when he finds out that Felicity is already seeing someone else.

"Arrow" season 5 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. ET.
