"Suits" creator Aaron Korsh has revealed that the hit legal drama series won't introduce a new love interest for Rachel (Meghan Markle) in season 6.

Some fans -- especially those who ship Rachel and Mike (Patrick J. Adams) together -- had become worried that Rachel would fall for a new man this season when the show cast Malcolm Gets as her professor. It turned out, however, that Rachel's interaction with Gets character, Professor Dunbar, is far from being romantic.

"It's not a love interest storyline is what I can say," Korsh told TV Guide. " It was more about us focusing on having not really seen Rachel in law school. I wouldn't even call it a Rachel and her professor storyline. I would call it exploring Rachel's life outside of work, given that Mike is in prison."

Korsh went on to reveal that there won't be a lot of relationship drama with Mike and Rachel as of yet over the course of the season.

"She's not going to be tempted by another man and obviously he's not going to be dating other women," he said. "They are each trying to deal with him being incarcerated in their own way. Mike is mainly trying to deal with it just by trying to survive, just because he's thrown into a pool with a shark. Most of his focus is on surviving with this shark. Rachel is going to find an outlet for her worries about Mike in the form of work."

In fact, Adams revealed during his interview with the New York Times that Rachel will have a "great case" this season.

"[Mike and Rachel's] motivation to get back to each other is powerful, but she's doing exactly what he asked her to do, which is to focus on her career," Adams said. "And she's got a really great case that, as I'm reading the script, packs an emotional punch. As a fan, I would be frustrated that Mike and Rachel have to be so far apart. But I would also be so satisfied that this character is getting to do some new and dynamic and interesting stuff completely free and clear of Mike Ross."

"Suits" season 6, episode 2, titled "Accounts Payable," airs on Wednesday, July 20 at 9 p.m. on USA Network. Check out the trailer and synopsis for the episode below.

"Louis [Rick Hoffman], Jessica [Gina Torres] and Harvey [Gabriel Macht] fend off a class action lawsuit; Mike has no choice but to run afoul of a fellow prisoner."
