Tyler Posey is set to make his TV directorial debut in the upcoming season 6 of "Teen Wolf," and he recently admitted that he's feeling a "little bit nervous" about it.

"There's a lot that goes into directing, [and] I'm kind of figuring it out," Posey, who plays Scott McCall on the series, told Teen Wolf News earlier this month. "Aside from wanting to direct from an artistic standpoint, I'm really excited to direct from like a scheduling and getting everything done (standpoint). That being said, directing is kind of random and I'm a little nervous. I don't know how it's going to turn out."

According to Teen Wolf News, the 24-year-old actor will direct one of the first three episodes of the second half of season 6.

Last November, Posey said at a roundtable interview at the New York Comic Con that he's worried about giving direction to his co-stars.

"I don't know," he said to a group or reporters when asked how he thinks his fellow actors on the show would react once he starts giving them directions while filming. "What if they ... [say] no [to my requests?], and I'm like, 'Okay. Cool.'"

"[But at the end of the day,] I just want them to know that I love them all, and they're all the best actors in the world," Posey explained. "I don't want to give them direction. I want them to know it's not a power thing."

Posey added that they should all feel equal even if he's the one directing. "It should be a collaborative process," he said. "I don't want to be the only one shouting out ideas. I want it to be collaborative. That's the way it should be."

"I want all the actors and everybody there to be like, 'Okay let's talk it out. Let's have fun with this,'" he continued. "So hopefully actors don't hate me. But we have such a great relationship, and I don't think it can be hurt by me directing them. [But] I don't know. We'll see."

As for how he's preparing for his turn in the director's chair, Posey told TheWrap last January: "I've been producing a lot, asking a lot of questions, kind of visually and mentally laying out the script shot-by-shot. I hang out with the directors all the time, I'm always behind the camera."

The premiere date for "Teen Wolf" season 6 is expected to be announced during the show's Comic-Con panel this week.
