Marvel fans can expect some comedy and moments of levity in the upcoming film "Doctor Strange," but actor Mads Mikkelsen has revealed that most of the movie's humor won't be coming from his character Kaecilius.
"You can't bring it yourself," Mikkelsen told Digital Spy when asked if he's bringing some humor to the film. "If it's in the script you have to sort of lean into the script that's already there. [But] there is some. My character is not necessarily carrying too much of it but Doctor Strange [Benedict Cumberbatch] is. There's a certain darkness in the Doc and a sense of humor in there, absolutely."
Like any other recent Marvel films, "Doctor Strange" will also be CGI-heavy, but Mikkelsen said that he doesn't interact with the CGI elements of the movie that much.

"CGI is not a new thing for me, I've done it in a few movies," the 50-year-old Danish actor said. "This one was not too bad, the CGI was not in direct interaction with me in my scenes, it was more like the backdrops, the landscapes would be slightly different sometimes, but I didn't have to interact with it. But I've done that before in 'Clash of the Titans' when we were fighting giant monsters. They were obviously not in the film and I was fighting tennis balls, and that I'd say is real acting!"
Besides Mikkelsen and Cumberbatch, "Doctor Strange" also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor ("12 Years a Slave"), Rachel McAdams ("Midnight in Paris"), Michael Stuhlbarg ("A Serious Man"), Tilda Swinton ("We Need To Talk About Kevin"), Amy Landecker ("A Serious Man"), Scott Adkins ("Expendables 2") and Benedict Wong ("The Martian"), among many others.
Derrickson directed "Doctor Strange" from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jon Spaihts and Scott C. Robert. The film is slated to open in theaters on Nov. 4.
