'Teen Wolf' Season 6: Tyler Posey, Jeff Davis Tease What's In Store For Dylan O'Brien's Stiles

(Photo : MTV) "Teen Wolf" star Tyler Posey and showrunner Jeff Davis teased what fans can expect from Dylan O'Brien's Stiles in the upcoming season 6 of the MTV series.

Despite his March accident on the set of "Maze Runner: The Death Cure," Dylan O'Brien will still be part of the upcoming season 6 of "Teen Wolf." In fact, the role of the actor's character next installment might be more important than ever.

"Stiles is a big part of the season because a lot of this season's mystery revolves around him," showrunner Jeff Davis revealed during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. "We're going to see just what Stiles' friendship means to Scott (Tyler Posey), Lydia (Holland Roden), and Malia (Shelley Hennig). We're going to see why exactly he's Scott's best friend, what it means that he's Malia's human anchor, and what his will-they-or-won't-they relationship is with Lydia."

In this week's Entertainment Weekly's Spoiler Room, Davis also revealed that Stiles will have at least two huge life moments in the first half of the new season -- one at the start and another one at the end.

"[There is] a very definitive scene in episode 1 on the question of Stydia, so I would suggest Stiles and Lydia fans to watch," Davis said, before adding that Stiles' potential career in law enforcement will be addressed at the latter part of season 6A. "It's something we touch on in the last episode, 610," he said.

Posey also added that season 6 is a "reminiscent" season, especially for Stiles and Scott. "You fall in love with Stiles every episode," he said. "It really makes you think of all the cool s--t that we've done with Stiles and Scott over the past few years."

As to how the show managed to incorporate Stiles in season 6 following O'Brien's accident, Davis explained:  "When we were going into discussing this season, knowing that Dylan O'Brien had a big movie he was going off to do, we wanted to make sure that Stiles was going to be a very important part of 'Teen Wolf' 6A. So a lot of this story is about Stiles."

The premiere date for season 6 is expected to be announced at the show's San Diego Comic-Con panel next week.
