Ahead of the premiere, here's a look at the top 4 original songs that were released by the cast members in the hit FOX TV series.

"Empire" cast member Bryshere Gray released the song "Got That Work" in the series.

A clip of the rapper at the recording studio was posted on Instagram. Gray plays the role of Hakeem Lyon, Lucious and Cookie's (Taraji P. Henson) youngest son.

Jussie Smollett also released his own track "Freedom" in the previous season of "Empire." The actor plays the role of Lucious and Cookie's middle child, Jamal.

Singer Serayah McNeill's song "Look But Don't Touch" was also featured in at least one episode of "Empire" in season 2. McNeill's character Tiana previously dated Hakeem.

Smollett also performed a duet with rapper Bre-Z entitled "Shine on Me." In the series, Jamal and Bre-Z's Freda Gatz used to be good friends before he accidentally hit the former toward the end of season 2.

"Empire" season 3 will premiere on FOX on Sept. 21.
