Does Lorenzo James Henrie's new hairdo suggest that Chris is going to die in the second half of "Fear the Walking Dead"?

Last weekend, Henrie debuted his new short haircut in an Instagram post in which he confirmed his attendance in the recently concluded Walker Stalker Con in New Jersey.

Henrie's short haircut has led some fans to speculate that Henrie's character on the show, Chris, might not survive season 2.

"Omg are you going to die on fear of the dead. Noooooooooooo," one of Henrie's followers wrote on the comments of his post.

"Is Chris dying on ftwd? Why the short hair?" asked another commenter.

While it seems that the 23-year-old actor has yet to address the speculation, there are also a lot of fans who doesn't think that Chris will die in the current installment.

"Maybe he just wanted short hair," one fan wrote.

"Doesn't necessarily means [sic] he is dead," another fan commented on a post on Fear: The Spoiling Dead Fans Facebook page. "Maybe at the end of the season his character makes a change with the help of his dad [Travis] and others, but then again maybe his dad pulls a Carol 'look at the flowers'!!!"

In the mid-season 2 finale, Travis (Cliff Curtis) finally realized how broken Chris is, so when Nick found their whereabouts and asked them to go back to the mansion, the former teacher refused. Clearly, Travis came to a realization that Chris is not going to get better if he's with the blended family that sees him as a dangerous person, so he made a big sacrifice not to be with Madison (Kim Dickens) -- at least in the meantime -- in order to heal his son. But will the distance from the Clarks make Chris better? Or will it just make him worse?
