Back in April of this year, Kid Cudi expressed that he often had suicidal thoughts, and he elaborated on those feelings in a recent interview with Pharrell Williams' OTHERtone.

Quite candidly, the Ohio native admitted that the pressures of working with Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music led to depression and heavy drug use.

"I'll tell you the truth, it's what drove me to drugs," explained Cudi. "I was like, man, I'm either going to kill myself, or I'm going to do some drugs, and I want to live. I didn't like that I had money and success, and I had made it, and everybody that I had ever met in my life — good people — weren't able to experience the same."

"And I wasn't able to truly enjoy my success. Even though I worked hard for it, it bothered me that I had so much and my friends didn't. It was hard for me to enjoy it. Truthfully, it didn't seem fair," he added.

Elsewhere during the sit-down, the Man on the Moon talked about working with Jay Z in the past and how thankful he is to this very day. In fact, Cudi says whenever he sees the rap legend, he thanks him for allowing him to work on the 2009 cut "Already Home," off the "Blueprint 3" album.
