"Arrow" season 5 is set to premiere on The CW this October. Ahead of this, here are five things every fan should know about the upcoming episodes.

Oliver Queen takes down Stardust

According to TV Line, Stephen Amell's character Oliver Queen will come face-to-face with the villainous character Stardust (Cody Rhodes).

Rhodes recently left the WWE, and he and Amell will once again get into a fight in the upcoming episodes.

'Arrow' season five's central theme

While at the Heroes & Villains FanFest earlier this month, Amell confirmed that "Arrow" season five's first two episodes will focus more on the core mission of the show.

"The first two episodes of season 5 refocuses us on what the core mission of the show should be, and that to me is very exciting," he said.

Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak romance

Amell recently dished on his character's relationship with Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards).

"I was chatting with a couple of fans earlier and they were saying there hasn't been a lot of positivity and reassuring notions when it comes to Oliver and Felicity's relationship," he said.

The actor added that Oliver and Felicity's relationship shouldn't just be defined by romance or their previous relationship.

Amell said that both characters could have a positive and happy relationship even if they are not officially together.

Diggle's costume change

Oliver isn't the only character who will have interesting storylines in "Arrow" season 5.

His best friend Diggle's (David Ramsey) costume will also receive an upgrade with the help of "The Flash" character Cisco (Carlos Valdes).

Is a time-jump possible?

Ramsey also confirmed that his onscreen daughter Sarah will grow up in the upcoming episodes.

As such, a third child actress is being cast for the role.

Sarah growing up could only mean that a time-jump is indeed possible in the upcoming episodes.

"Arrow" season 5 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 5 at 8 p.m. ET.
