Dylan O'Brien as Stiles
(Photo : MTV) "Teen Wolf" season 6 is looking for a photo double who looks like Dylan O'Brien during the first season of the MTV series.

"Teen Wolf" is looking for a photo double for Dylan O'Brien, who plays Stiles Stilinski on the MTV series.

A confusing "Teen Wolf" casting notice surfaced earlier this month. While it is usual for TV productions to look for photo doubles for their key stars from time to time, what makes this casting call puzzling is the fact that they are looking for someone who looks like O'Brien during the first season of the show. In fact, the casting notice even mentions cutting the photo double's hair back to Stiles' former buzz cut.

Does this mean the show is going back in time? While that remains to be seen, one thing is for sure: the term photo double indicates that O'Brien's look-alike will appear on camera.

Last Friday, June 16, the production also started casting for another O'Brien look-alike, but this time, they are looking for a photo double who looks closer to the actor's current appearance. According to Teen Wolf News, this type of casting notice is what people have seen before not only for the "Maze Runner" actor but also for other main players on the show.

Despite his March accident on the set of "Maze Runner: The Death Cure," O'Brien will still be part of the upcoming season, showrunner Jeff Davis confirmed in an interview last month.

"We aren't replacing Stiles," Davis told Creative 132 when asked whether O'Brien's character is going to die or be replaced in season 6 due to the actor's injuries.

"Dylan O'Brien will be back to film soon [but] he can't do any stunts," Davis said. "We're talking with Wes Ball, the producer of 'The Maze Runner,' [and] we hope to get him back on 'Teen Wolf 'to film, while being injured. But the thing is he wants to film. He's in perfect condition, but he's just not doing fine enough to do any stunts."

Davis said that O'Brien could be in every episode if he returns to set soon. "I think I can say yes, he might not be in the third episode, but I think he'll be in it. We'll make space," Davis answered when asked if O'Brien will appear in each hour of the season.

MTV has yet to announce a premiere date for season 6.
