Brace yourselves ... The end is nigh.
Jill Duggar and her husband Derick Dillard think the apocalypse is coming, and they are asking fans if they are ready, reports The Inquisitr.
Talk about a buzzkill.
Yesterday, June 17, the couple made a doomsday post to their Dillard Family website. They recently started a series of blog posts called "Life Matters," and ths apocalyptic one was the latest edition.
They are clearly referencing the latest Orlando tragedy, where on June 12 Omar Mateen entered LGBT Orlando nightclub Pulse with an assault rifle and a pistol, and opened fire. He killed 49 people, making this massacre the deadliest shooting in U.S. history.
In the blog post, they ask, "Are you ready for the 'Day of the Lord?'"
"In the times of uncertainty we live in including increased violence and terrorism abroad an on American soil as well as an unpredictable economy among other issues, it makes sense to ask the question, 'Are you ready for the end of all things?'"
Is that something we need to pack an overnight bag for?
The couple then goes on to quote the bible and offer their own insight, with some heavy and judgmental stuff.
"The 'Day of the Lord' was the coming Babylonian invasion and serves as a 'type' for God's ultimate coming judgment," they explain.
Funny ... the 'Day of the Lord' sounds like it would be such a nice day, full of sunshine and chirping birds, but no, far from it.
"Regardless of person or nation, sin leads to punishment and repentance leads to restoration," they continue. "God wants us to rely fully upon Him. We should not derive our security from man or anything manmade."
"True success in this life can only be accomplished through the Spirit of God (30: 1-2)," they add.
Here comes the real ringer.
"We will only be ready for the 'Day of the Lord' if we are living in the Spirit and rely upon God's work through Jesus on that day," the concluded the post.
So, everyone who is not living in the spirit is ultimately screwed. And being that most of those 49 dead were part of the LGBT community, and with the Duggars anti-gay track record, you can sure as heck believe that Jill thinks that they are spiritually screwed.
Jessa Duggar, Jill's sister, recently came under fire for quoting anti-LGBT leaders on the day of the Orlando massacre. Their parents, Jim Bob and Michelle, were blasted for a quote about "resisting the devil" on the day of the shooting, which seemed to be blaming the victims of the tragedy.
With all of the Duggars' insensitivity to the Orlando tragedy, there has been a call to cancel the "19 Kids and Counting" spinoff, "Jill and Jessa: Counting On."
