Before Caitlyn Jenner transitioned into a woman, she, then known as Bruce, was not allowed to wear women's clothing around the house while married to Kris Jenner, Radar reports. However, Caitlyn did reveal that Kris used to dress up with her from time to time.
In a recent interview with AOL Makers, Caitlyn explained that Kris had set some rules for her ex-husband.
"The rules, kind of, for Kris and I [were] don't dress up, certainly around the house," Caitlyn explained. "If you really feel the need to do that, when you're on the road take stuff and do that."
"I'd go on the road for speaking engagements, take a bunch of stuff, dress up at the hotel, walk around, do whatever I wanted to do, just to feel a little bit better about myself," she went on. "And I kind of dealt with it that way."
Caitlyn didn't fully transition until 2015, when she made her debut on the cover of Vanity Fair. However, after two failed marriages, Caitlyn had initially started her transition in the '80s, People reports. She had begun taking hormones and even grew breasts.
"I tried to start doing things to make me feel better about myself, started doing hormones," Caitlyn said. But yeah, I was a good 36B. I loved them, you know, I thought: 'This is fabulous.'"
"My mission at that point was to transition before I was 40," she continued. "Got to 39 — I just couldn't go any farther. And three or four months later I met Kris. We hit it off from day one. I was very honest with her — I had to be, I was a 36B."
Bruce Jenner married Kris, then still a Kardashian, in 1991. They were married for 24 years and had two children together, Kendall and Kylie.
