The "Injustice: Gods Among Us" sequel may have been confirmed, thanks to a leaked photo of a promotional poster for the upcoming game.
The leaked promotional poster shows Batman in the middle of a fight with The Flash. The poster also shows that the title of the game will be "Injustice 2," and it comes with the tagline "Every battler defines you."
Going into the details of the poster, Batman's suit has a hint of green lighting, hinting that it could be equipped with Kryptonite.
The Flash, on the other hand, looks like he's wearing his signature red suit, with the lightning bolt symbol on his chest glinting.
The photo of the poster was taken by an unnamed source and was sent to Polygon.
GameStop managers have also received a letter from its corporate office that the posters are currently being sent out to local stores. The poster will be given away for free to customers who pre-order "Injustice 2."
Polygon's tipster also claims that the posters will only be available while supplies last.
Design & Trend reported last week that "Injustice 2" was going to be announced just before the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), which starts on June 14.
There's also the possibility that Warner Bros. may possibly officially announce the game at the event.
Warner Bros. Interactive has not given any statements regarding the development of the anticipated sequel just yet.
Pre-orders for the game will probably be available as soon as it's announced sometime next week.
"Injustice 2" is reportedly being developed by NetherRealm Studios, the same studio responsible for the original 2013 "Injustice" and last year's "Mortal Kombat X."
NetherRealm is said to be using the same "Mortal kombat X" game engine for "Injustice 2."
Insider sources claim that the game will be released in March 2017 and will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC.
