"The Walking Dead" actor Norman Reedus revealed one of the big reasons why he and his co-stars are having a difficult time discussing the mystery death at the end of the season 6 finale.
In a recent interview with TVLine, Reedus said that the cast of the hit AMC series are not comfortable talking about Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) latest victim partly because it felt real for them.
"We're a very tight-knit group down there [on location in Georgia], and we take it very personally, because we're in it and living it," explained the 47-year-old actor, who plays Daryl Dixon on the show. "Every time you see us crying on camera, those are real tears. It's a whole day of living that s--t."
He continued, "And when personal things happen to you, you don't wander around telling everybody your personal stuff. So for us, it doesn't feel like just a spoiler, it feels like a moment that really happened. And if there's a death involved, it's kinda weird to talk about it. It's like going to our friend's funeral or going possibly to our own funeral! It's not like, 'Hey, how are you? Want a selfie?'"

Reedus' co-star Andrew Lincoln shared the same sentiments during his interview with Comicbook.com last April.
"We all just made a pact not to discuss [season 6's mystery death]," Lincoln said. "We kind of made a pact with each other, just because personally and professionally one of us is going. These people are lovely, dear friends. Including myself, one of us is gonna get it."
"It's too precious," added the 42-year-old actor, who plays Rick Grimes on the series. "There are certain things that become sacred on set and I'm afraid, I'm one of these people going, 'I can't talk about it.' Every time we've lost somebody on the show they've been instrumental in storytelling. It's the same thing. We lock up shop. We linked arms, got our knees, and said, 'You know what? Let's not discuss this. It's painful. No apologies.'"
"The Walking Dead" season 7 premieres in October on AMC.
