Lenovo's Moto Z flagship Android smartphone has been stirring a lot of buzz lately and now some new information about it has leaked online.

New images of the Moto Z and its modular backplates, called MotoMods, have been leaked online by Even Blass (@evleaks).

The newly leaked image of the smartphone looks pretty similar to what Blass published last week, but this time around it shows a more detailed look at the device's back as well as its three color options.

The most notable thing about the new photo of the Moto Z is that the regular Moto branding has now been replaced with Droid branding on the device's camera module just beneath the lens.

The Droid series of smartphones is exclusive to Verizon, as pointed out by The Verge. This means that this new photo is the Verizon version of the handset, and it could possibly mean that it could be rebranded as the Droid Turbo 3.

If these renders are accurate, the Moto Z will come in black, silver and gold. Everyone also gets a better look at the sixteen small circles that would act as the connector for its modular backplates.

Speaking of the backplates, Blass also shared on his Twitter page a photo showing three of the upcoming backplates that are apparently called MotoMods.

The first MotoMod is a Hasselblad camera. It comes with a camera grip, a shutter button, a flash bulb and an optical zoom lens.

What's most curious about this backplate is that it covers the Moto Z's camera module entirely, hinting that it will replace the handset's camera altogether when attached.

The second MotoMod is said to be the pico projector. The only part of this backplate that's clearly seen is what appears to be a kickstand.

This module also seems to be slightly thicker than the other two which could mean it also comes with a battery pack for extending battery life, according to 9To5Google. The last MotoMod is said to be JBL stereo speakers.

Lenovo is expected to unveil the Moto Z and its MotoMods during the Tech World conference on June 9.
