There are only three episodes left before season 2 of "The Flash" comes to an end, and to further fuel the anticipation for the upcoming finale, Tom Cavanagh teased what fans can expect from the season-ender.
"We have this scene where I kept it in my back pocket the entire season," Cavanagh, who currently plays Earth-2 refugee Harry on the series, told Entertainment Weekly. "I knew there would be a moment where we'd get to play it, and sure enough these guys wrote this episode, our season finale, where it's in there, and I've just been longing to do it."
While Cavanagh won't reveal what exactly that scene is, he suggested that the moment he's referring to is part of the season's great culmination.
"This is the domain of television where, when you've done something for 22 episodes and it builds up to something in the 23rd hour, that's a joy to get to play it, because here comes the pay off," the 52-year-old Canadian actor said. "In many ways, where we're leading to for the season, the payoffs are extreme."

Cavanagh also appeared in this week's episode of DC All Access, and when asked to give a tease about the episode, Cavanagh said that viewers might witness a death in the finale.
"Crazy stuff happens. ... That's what we do at DC," said the "Ed" alum. "We don't be like, 'Well we did that well, let's just repeat that.' We don't do that. We don't go like, 'Ah, they've had enough thrills,' we don't do that either.' Should we have someone die perhaps? I don't know, maybe."
"The Flash" season 2 finale, titled "The Race of His Life," airs on Tuesday, May 24, at 8 p.m. on The CW. Check out the synopsis of the episode below:
