"The Flash" may introduce Caitlin's (Danielle Panabaker) family in season 3.

In last Tuesday's episode, Caitlin came face-to-face with her Earth-2 doppelganger Killer Frost, and while she's figuring out how she could get her Earth-2 self out of her cell, the two found out that both of them have not-so good moms. Caitlin also learned that unlike her, Killer Frost has a brother named Charlie.

"Mom was [as cold as ice] ever since [my brother] Charlie died," Killer Frost shared, to which Caitlin replied: "I never had a brother."

"Then why was mom such a b--tch on your Earth?" asks the villainess.

"Honestly, I couldn't say," Caitlin says.

Does Caitlin have a brother she hasn't met yet? While it's unlikely that the show would answer that question in the remaining episodes of season 2, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said that viewers will probably learn more about Caitlin's family next season.

"We haven't met Caitlin's mother yet. We got a little talk between the two women, which will probably play out in season 3," Kreisberg told Collider.

Meanwhile, Caitlin remains in Zoom's (Teddy Sears) custody and it appears that she's going to spend more time with the evil speedster until Barry get his speed back.

However, it seems unlikely that Zoom will hurt Caitlin. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Sears said that Jay wasn't playing with Caitlin's feelings even though he tricked her and the rest of Team Flash by conniving with his time remnant, Jay Garrick.

When asked if Zoom ever really cared for Caitlin, Sears answered: "Absolutely. That's something that [executive producer] Andrew Kreisberg, from the beginning, wanted to hammer into me."

"While there were games being played on all the other members of S.T.A.R. Labs, what he felt for Caitlin was the real deal," Sears said. "That adds a really interesting dynamic to this moving forward. He essentially is one gigantic liar who has played them all, but he never played her. There are real feelings there."

"The Flash's" next episode, titled "Rupture," airs on Tuesday, May 3, at 8 p.m. on The CW. Check out the complete synopsis for season 2, episode 20 below:

"Zoom arrives back on Earth-1 intent on taking over Central City. Barry [Grant Gustin] and Harry plan to stop Zoom but it's extremely dangerous. Unsure if he should take the risk, Barry reaches out to both fathers for advice. Meanwhile, Cisco [Carlos Valdes] is shocked when he senses the Earth-2 villain Rupture, who is his brother Dante's [Nicholas Gonzalez] doppelganger; and Iris [Candice Patton] decides to open up to Barry about her feelings for him."
