No matter how big of a star you are, there's always a star that shines brighter.
That's what Tinashe found out when she learned her vocals on the song "Joyride" were removed, and the song was given to Rihanna, even though her album title bears the same name.
"That song was given to Rihanna," wrote the Los Angeles native. "They took out all of my parts. S--- happens, I guess."
"So the album is still called 'Joyride?'" the person asked. "Of course," wrote the 23-year-old.
Meanwhile, Tinashe sat down for an interview with the Huffington Post and talked about the huge amount of support she gets from the gay community. She also touched on her own sexuality, since it's been a topic of discussion ever since she wrote this message in 2012:
"I don't necessarily want to put a title on it, 'cause as soon as you put a title on it, people put it into a category where it has to be 50/50," she wrote four years ago.
In her Huffington Post interview, however, the singer said things have changed since that particular message, and people are a lot more open-minded these days.
"I feel like nowadays, people are a little bit understanding of the fact that other people don't necessarily want to assign themselves one particular thing or another," explained Tinashe. "That's all a part of how we're growing and progressing as a society."
