On Friday, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson confirmed he will be involved in the Sony reboot of "Jumanji."

Johnson posted on Instagram, "It's official. We'll produce and deliver to a whole new generation a title that I love and is one of my all my time faves ... There's games you play for fun ... then there's games that change your life. JUMANJI Working on edging up an already very good script."

Daily News reports that Johnson will be meeting with "Jumanji" director Jake Kasdan and producer Matt Tolmach, but The Rock may not be the only star fresh from the MTV Movie Awards to be eyed for the film. Variety reports rumors that Kevin Hart may also be involved.

Both stars have busy schedules which may impact filming. Hart is shooting "The Intouchables" alongside Bryan Cranston, while Johnson has upcoming projects including "Ballers" and "Fast 8."

Speculation about filming delays comes after "Jumanji" was rescheduled by Sony to make room for "Spider-Man," Hmv reports.

Other factors may put pressure on the production. Johnson's post, which is the first big news since the reboot was announced in 2015, suggests that the film has not been fully cast yet.

The Rock has taken on a tall order and is probably aware of the criticism surrounding the reboot's announcement. He promised to deliver something "cool and special ... and not screw the whole damn thing up."

The "Jumanji" reboot will be highly scrutinized given the original's performance of Robin Williams, effects that held up over the years and extreme box office success.

The original film took a $65 million budget and earned roughly $263 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo. "Jumanji" was the second highest grossing PG-13 film for 1995.
