EXO round up the top three with 1,799,220 subscribers. Just four years into their career, EXO became the top-selling group of 2015 in terms of physical album sales, selling almost 2 million records. The group members' individual Instagram accounts are also among the most-followed among Korean celebrities. Social media kings, indeed. Check out EXO's latest V app videos here.
Groups GOT7, iKON, Apink, Winner and Infinite complete the top 8, with Apink being the only female idol group in the list.
Some netizens recently commented on the V App ranking list when it was posted on Pann (as translated by kpopkfans), with one saying, "Godbang, GodXo, GodBTS... These three groups must have a lot of international fans. Other singers also do but the three groups have an outstanding popularity. I wish BTS could maintain their fandom when they get settled."
"So Apink is the only girl group in top 8? Amazing. iKON's debut isn't that long ago... EXO, BTS, and Bigbang are gods. I didn't know that Infinite and BTOB were that popular. I hope they all do well," another fan commented.
Another user mentioned rising rookie group iKON's massive following as well as GOT7's fandom power, commenting, "Bigbang, BTS, and EXO are top. You can also see that GOT7 has a big international fandom. iKON is #5 when they're a rookie group. Apink is the only girl group in top 10. Infinite is ranked high despite their flop insults. YG boy groups are ranked high despite the endless hate they get. Some groups that are said to have a lot of international fans are ranked low, what a surprise."
