Last week on the "The Originals," Lucien (Andrew Lees) kidnapped Freya (Riley Voelkel). His plan wasn't just to abduct the powerful witch, it was to make himself more powerful than Klaus (Joseph Morgan), and he achieved just that.
In episode 17, Lucien successful re-created Esther's spell that turned her children into original vampires and equipped his body with a werewolf venom that could take down the Mikaelsons. Furthermore, he made two batches of this potent concoction. One batch he gulped down and another he gave to his unsteady lover Aurora (Rebecca Breeds).
Still mourning the loss of their brother Finn, the Mikaelsons are now faced with two foes that are exponentially more powerful than them.
The executive producer of "The Originals," Michael Narducci, revealed to TVGuide that Lucien and his lady love are now unstoppable and difficult to kill. He also said, "This is the most jeopardy the Mikaelsons have been in since Mikael [their father] was alive and chasing them with that [white oak] stake. Now they have to decide how they're going to take down this threat."
Mikael was a prevailing threat to Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and his family for several years. In fact, his very name would make the family cower in fear.
Narducci also cautioned fans to be worried about Aurora, who is an extremely unpredictable character. "If we're afraid of Lucien because Lucien hates Klaus, then God we have to be afraid of Aurora because she is the unstable character we introduced this season. She is incredibly dangerous — not only to Klaus but to Elijah and everyone else," he said.
Indeed, Aurora was the one who turned Klaus' love Cami into a vampire.
In this Friday's (April 15) episode of The CW series, Klaus will be kidnapped by Lucien. Klaus wants to make him suffer but meeting his progeny will put his life in jeopardy.
"The Originals" airs Fridays at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
