Earlier this week, Activision announced that the PlayStation 3 would be receiving the Awakening DLC for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" on April 5 but now, it has been revealed that the Awakening DLC will be the only DLC on last-gen consoles.

In an updated FAQ, Activision Support revealed there are no plans to bring future DLC to the PS3.

Q: Will any future DLC map packs come out for PlayStation 3?

We do not have plans for any DLC to follow Awakening on PlayStation 3.

The updated FAQ also states that there is no Season Pass option for last-gen players, although this information had already been revealed.

Other bad news includes Activision's decision to longer bring any more Zombies DLC to the PS3.

Q: Is this the end of Zombies content on PlayStation 3, with no continuation of the story?

Yes, there are no plans for future DLC content on PlayStation 3.

The Awakening DLC for "Black Ops 3" will be available for PlayStation 3 gamers on Tuesday, April 5. Just like the PS4 and Xbox One DLC, the map pack will include the four multiplayer maps and the new Zombies map. As stated, the DLC will have to be purchased separately due to the lack of a Season Pass.

What do you think of Activision's plans? Should more DLC come to last-gen consoles? Let us know in the comments below.
