The voice of cast member Jeremy Irons is also in the viral clip. "Assassin's Creed" is expected to hit theaters on Dec. 21, 2016.

"Assassin's Creed" movie details are here, and they arrive in the form of a new viral teaser featuring words from Michael Fassbender's Callum Lynch.

The news comes to Design & Trend via a video recording from the "Assassin's Creed" experts at Access The Animus. Their work gives us a sneak peek of what to expect from the 2016 film.

Unlike most teasers, this one can't be accessed by going to YouTube. Instead, fans are encouraged to dial 1-646-845-9162 on their phones. If the digits are entered correctly, the message in the embedded video will play. Its opening seconds feature the voice of Jeremy Irons in his role of Abstergo CEO, Alan Rikkin. There's nothing particularly special about it, only that it mentions a "delay in communication" while his company works to "provide high-quality products that enrich, entertain and shape the lives of our customers."

This corporate rhetoric then fades to lead actor Michael Fassbender's voice as he utters the creed of assassins. "These are the sacred tenets of our brotherhood," he says. Then he outlines a few commandments to "stay your blade from the blood of the innocent, hide in plain sight and never compromise the brotherhood."

Those that have played the "Assassin's Creed" video game series will likely recognize the oath, because it's been uttered by almost every playable protagonist in the source series. For the movie, it's assumed these words come from Callum Lynch. In the scope of the plot he uses Abstergo's machine, called the Animus, to access the memories of a 15th century assassin named Aguilar. It becomes his job to leverage his assassin bloodline to wage war against an enemy faction called the Templars.

While "Assassin's Creed" is based on a game franchise, its producers have said that the film will stray from those Ubisoft roots as necessary. Rikkin's character was part of the first game but hasn't been seen much since. We also know that his movie variation has a daughter believed to be played by "Inception's" Marion Cotillard.

The "Assassin's Creed" movie is expected to be in theaters on Dec. 21 of this year. Tickets can be pre-ordered now.
