‘Teen Wolf’ Season 5B Spoilers: Tyler Posey On Why Scott Teams Up With Theo Against The Beast

Scott (Tyler Posey) and Theo (Cody Christian) have no choice but to set their differences aside when "Teen Wolf" returns to MTV tonight.

As heavily teased in several promos for the much anticipated season 5B premiere, a monstrous creature called The Beast will wreak havoc in Beacon Hills. And in order to take down the demon-looking villain, Scott will agree to work with Theo even after the chimera attempted to kill him and take away his Alpha status in the first half of the season.

During a recent press visit to the "Teen Wolf" set, Posey told TV Guide why Scott decides to team up with Theo considering everything the latter has done.

"There's this ultimate evil -- evil scary monster that we have to take down. It's this rabid, insane animal thing and no one is controlling it, so we have to team up together," Posey explained.

"Scott is able to put his differences aside and hold off on beating Theo up," the 24-year-old actor added. "I don't think Scott will beat him up. He won't forgive him either, but I don't think he's the type of person [out for revenge] -- unless he gets one solid, clean, nasty punch on him."

As to who between the two will first offer truce, the trailer that debuted at the New York Comic-Con last October suggests that it's actually Theo who will bring up the idea of joining forces to stop the new baddie.

"Your pack and mine, we're going to be fighting for our lives," Theo tells Scott in the trailer.

"Teen Wolf" season 5, episode 11, titled "The Last Chimera" airs tonight at 9 p.m. on MTV. Check out the synopsis for the episode below.

"Scott and Stiles [Dylan O'Brien] struggle to put aside their differences to find the cause of the sheriff's [Linden Ashby's Sheriff Stilinski] infection before it kills him."
