Oprah Winfrey Buys Telluride Ski Home For $14 Million

TV mogul Oprah Winfrey recently dropped $14 million on a ski home in Colorado.

The 3.23-acre property is located near the Telluride Ski Resort, close to the 60 acres of land Oprah purchased just last year. According to the Wall Street Journal, this real estate acquisition will serve as a temporary home for Oprah while she builds her brand new mansion.

The contemporary-style Mountain Village property was sold fully furnished and was not listed on the market. The 8,700-square-foot home includes five bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms.

Purchased from retired tech executive Bob Wall, the house features state-of-the-art architecture, from the glass-and-steel bridge above the great room to a 56-foot-long wine cellar. It even has its own funicular to transport skiers to the slopes!
