(Photo : Scott Games) "Five Nights At Freddy's: The Silver Eyes" has arrived ahead of its expected release date. The novel exists as an expanded version of Scott Cawthon's "Five Nights At Freddy's" game universe. It's available now on Amazon in Kindle and paperback format.

"Five Nights At Freddy's: The Silver Eyes" has been released early by its author, Scott Cawthon. The novel is available now in paperback and as a Kindle e-book. It tells a dark tale based on the "Five Nights At Freddy's" games universe.

The details come to Design & Trend via the book's Amazon product page. It lists both digital and physical copies available for sale.

According to the plot description, "Five Nights At Freddy's: The Silver Eyes" tells the story of a girl named Charlie who lives in a town that's become infamous for a string of murders that occurred in its Freddy Fazbear's Pizza restaurant. Now, years, after the incident, Charlie reunites with her friends to uncover the secrets behind the bloody affair. Because her father once owned the eatery and designed its cast of animatronic characters, she has a personal stake in clearing up her family name.

When returning to the abandoned building, the group discovers that the troop of robotic pals has a dark mission and a murderous agenda to carry out.

Prior to now, Cawthon mentioned that the novel had been in the works for nearly a year, and it intends to "expand the mythos" that has made his "Five Nights At Freddy's" video game series so popular. Even after four games and several months, there are still plenty of critical plot questions left to answer. The virtual adaptation features a mysterious Purple Man that's connected to the murders. Does Charlie have any relation to this person? Could it be her father? Franchise fans will have to read this book to find out!

The truly surprising part about today's arrival, however, is that it comes five days before Cawthon intended to make the novel public. While Scott is infamous for releasing his games early, "this time it wasn't entirely my fault," he said on Steam. Apparently the page went live ahead of time due to a snafu in Amazon's publishing system.

"Five Nights At Freddy's: The Silver Eyes" is available now in paperback and Kindle format. A hardcover version is expected in 2016.
