Fans will say goodbye to Deanna (Tovah Feldshuh) in the much anticipated mid-season 6 finale of the hit AMC series, The Spoiling Dead Fans (TSDF) has revealed.

The ever reliable "The Walking Dead" community site wrote in it its recent Facebook post that the former Ohio congresswoman "saves Rick [Andrew Lincoln] from a walker [in the episode] and in doing so is bit and/or mortally wounded by a saw." But before she dies, Rick and Michonne [Danai Gurira] each have a "heartwarming talk" with her.

Deanna's impending demise has been speculated by fans since this season's episode 5, titled "Now," where she questioned her leadership and ultimately accepted the fact that that the residents of the walled community don't need her as much as they need Rick.

Feldshuh, who joined the zombie drama in season 5 with a recurring role, was promoted to a series regular in September. Unfortunately, a series regular promotion doesn't guarantee that the actor's character will survive the season.

Michael Rooker (Merle Dixon) was promoted to series regular in season 3, but the character was killed off in the penultimate episode of the installment. Similarly, Scott Wilson (Hershel Greene) was promoted to series regular in season 4 only to be killed off in the midseason finale. Most recently, Both Emily Kinney (Beth Greene) and Chad Coleman (Tyreese Williams) were promoted to series regulars in season 5, but their characters met their demise during the same installment.

While it remains to be known how Feldshuh reacted to her character's death on the show, she previously said that she doesn't ever want to exit the series.

"I was, of course, happy that I didn't die," the 61-year-old actress told Yahoo News after the season 5 finale. "Nobody ever wants to leave 'The Walking Dead.' You want to last as long as you can stay on it, because the darn thing is just so very good, so beloved by its viewers, because it goes very deep into the river of what it means to be alive in this world."
