Louis CK And Sarah Palin Buddies? Politician Mentions Him In New Book, Invites Him Fishing!

(Photo : Getty Images / Ilya S. Savenok and Alex Wong ) Louis C.K. has been invited to Alaska to go fishing with former governor Sarah Palin.

Comedian Louis C.K. and former Alaska governor Sarah Palin don't exactly seem like a pair of individuals that would enjoy each other's company. However, Palin has extended an invitation to C.K. to go "slay salmon" with her in Alaska.

It is even more surprising considering that five years ago C.K. tweeted some pretty nasty things about Palin while he was drunk on a plane. However, C.K. apologized to Palin during the 40th anniversary special of "Saturday Night Live" in February. It seems as though she accepted and grew quite fond of the comedian. So much so that she dedicated an entire chapter of her new book, "Sweet Freedom," to the "Louie" star, reports People.

While at LaGuardia Airport last Wednesday she wrote a Facebook post about C.K.'s inclusion in the book and invited him fishing.

"Maybe a bit of the, um, "uniqueness" of #SweetFreedom - now the #1 Christian book and #1 devotional in the country- featuring a guy like Louis C.K. in a devotion can illustrate the surprise encounters I believe are orchestrated for us that can lead to a connection for others' edification. Here I'm signing a copy of 'Sweet Freedom' for the comedian while dashing through La Guardia; I'll send it to him with a challenge for him to come slay salmon with me up North. Hope he's gusty enough to do so," wrote the 51-year-old politician.

The chapter dedicated to C.K. is titled "The Power of Nice, and Saturday Night Live."

According to People, during an interview with Howard Stern, C.K. said that he would go fishing with her "in a heartbeat."

It would sure be interesting to see them both reeling in some big fish together out in the Alaskan wild.

"Louie" is currently on a hiatus while C.K. focuses on some other projects, including the new FX series "Baskets" and producing Pamela Adlon's new series "Better Things."
