apure is the first architectural lighting brand to collaborate with Porsche Design Studio. The companies have recently launched an innovative lighting system, a high-design energy efficient illuminating ceiling concept.

This innovative system has been conceptualized, engineered and manufactured in Germany and is bound to set new standards for the architectural and interior design industries.

The partnership has debuted a lighting system with four signature lines known as Clarus, Velo, Tantus and Opus. The profile consists of different embedded components that incorporate light, energy management, security, audio and air supply in one aesthetic plane. This aesthetic plane has been explained as a "fifth wall."

Founder and CEO of apure, Uli Petzold stated, "We think of the ceiling as the fifth wall. There's no reason that your ceiling needs to look like Swiss cheese anymore. With apure we organize all trades, creating a solution for ceiling clutter."

The mission is to save consumers' money in labor and material while providing architects and interior designers with the ability to control the ceiling aesthetic within a space. This new illumination approach is consistent with Porsche Design Studio's identity in thinking beyond and introducing innovation.

Residential, retail and commercial spaces are demanding to install this new wave of lighting technology. Current luxury projects with the apure system include One Thousand Museum by Zaha Hadid Architects, Palazzo Del Sol and the new airport in Qatar.
