During "The Walking Dead's" San Diego Comic-Con panel earlier this month, Andrew Lincoln revealed to the packed Hall H crowd that his mom wants to see his character Rick and Danai Gurira's Michonne become a couple. And while that fun fact brought smiles to the audience, Gurira wasn't really surprised to find out that Lincoln's mom ships Richonne, because apparently she's also been hearing the same thing from other people.

"My mom is desperate for Rick and Michonne to get together," Lincoln said during the panel, according to Zap2it. "[She's like,] 'If you had any political balls, you have to get those two people together.'"

And when the cast and producers of the show stopped by Entertainment Weekly Radio studios at the annual convention, Gurira was asked what she thinks about Lincoln's mom rooting for Rick and Michonne to hook up.

"The Richonne thing -- we get it a lot," Gurira said. "They're friends, you know. And people want that. I love that folks want Michonne to get some. I always say that. I say to my boss, 'Michonne's a nun. She don't give none, she don't get none.'"

While Gurira has no idea whether Rick and Michonne's platonic relationship will eventually develop into a romance, the 37-year-old actress said that there's no denying that the two characters have a strong bond.

"They do have such a great, intimate friendship and it did grow," she told TV Guide in February. "It's a fantastic thing that they have each other and they have that level of ... love and support. Whatever happens, at the end of the day, they have a really fantastic connection."

And even though Lincoln doesn't also see Rick and Michonne's relationship as romantic, he told The Hollywood Reporter in March that he loves the connection between the two.

"I think there are certain people that he has respect and love for, and he owes his life to. And Michonne is one of those people who can call him out, as we saw [in season 5], and he will listen," said the 41-year-old British actor. "Daryl (Norman Reedus) is able to do it, Tyreese (Chad Coleman) was able to do it and Glenn (Steven Yeun) is able to do it. There are few people who are able to anchor him. I'm intrigued to see where Michonne and Rick's relationship goes."
