Norman Reedus knows the different "The Walking Dead" couples that fans eagerly ship, and it seems that he wants to add a completely new pair to the ever-growing list.

In an interview with Vulture after the "Walking Dead" panel at last week's San Diego Comic-Con, Reedus -- who plays fan-favorite Daryl on the series -- mentioned some of those "ships" that viewers would want to see happen or develop even further on the show.

"You could say 'Richonne' [for Rick and Michonne] or you could say 'Caryl,' spelled like Carol and Daryl. Or 'Bethyl' [for Beth and Daryl]," the 46-year-old actor told the website on Friday, July 10, at the Skybound Entertainment Comic-Con party. "People are really into 'shipping.' Everybody wants everybody to bone. It's very strange."

And when asked who he would want to eat if he became a walker, Reedus gave a rather interesting answer.

"Danai [Gurira] is lookin' pretty tasty lately, y'know what I mean?" he said with a smile.

"She looks pretty yummy," added Reedus of her 37-year-old co-star, who plays the katana-wielding character, Michonne, on the hit AMC zombie drama.

Vulture relayed Reedus' remarks to Gurira without mentioning that it came from the "Boondocks Saints" star. But surprisingly, the actress found out that it was Reedus who said those comments.

"That sounds like Norman," she told the outlet at Entertainment Weekly's Comic-Con celebration. "Wants to eat? Is that a compliment? I don't know."

"[But] I take it as a compliment, absolutely," Gurira continued. "He's a good person to get munched on by."

Reedus seemingly started the ship "Daronne" (Daryl and Michonne) when he appears to kiss Gurira in the lips in a "The Walking Dead" featurette (see below) released by AMC last month.

"The Walking Dead" returns on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 9 p.m. on AMC with a supersized 90-minute episode.
