"Suits" has already introduced Harvey's (Gabriel Macht) psychiatrist, Dr. Paula Agard (Christina Cole), in last week's season 5 premiere. But Dr. Agard isn't the only new character who will fuel drama inside and out of Pearson Specter Litt, as fans will also meet Harvey's new secretary and Louis' (Rick Hoffman) new ally in this week's episode, titled "Compensation."
In an interview with Yahoo News, series creator Aaron Korsh revealed that Harvey's new secretary will be introduced in episode 2.
"Her name is Gretchen. She's great. I think she's unexpected," Korsh told TV Guide of Donna's replacement. "I think she's the opposite of Donna. I'm gonna take that back. She's not the opposite of Donna, but he's hiring her in reaction to losing Donna. He doesn't want another Donna; he doesn't want that situation again. We get to know Gretchen over time."
There's no word yet on who will play Gretchen, so it won't be surprising if Gretchen is just another Norma, who never had a physical appearance on the show, but was referenced several times by her former boss Louis.
Aside from Gretchen, viewers will also meet the recurring character of Jack Soloff, played by John Pyper-Ferguson, in season 2.

"He's a big part of the season," Korsh told Yahoo News. "He's basically a partner who's existed within the firm, though we have not met him, and he gets a sort of new position as head of the Compensation Committee, and uses that to get new power within the firm and sort of come after Harvey."
In an interview with Just Jared, Macht discussed in broad strokes how Jack will give Harvey more problems this season.
"He comes from the 38th floor, the accounting floor, and he starts coming in and talking about billable hours and how Harvey gets more money than the rest of the people," Macht said of Jack. "So there is this money issue that's going to go on for quite a few episodes."
Macht continued, "You see this guy who basically feels like he's never gotten to the level of Harvey, and that Jessica has handed him things. He's become the star of the firm. And Jack feels like he's due and he comes at Harvey pretty hard early on in the season. He tries to make an alliance with Louis, and Louis obviously screws a million things up to make it so much harder for Harvey."
"Suits" season 5, episode 2 airs on Wednesday, July 1, at 9 p.m. on USA Network.
