AMC has just released a new featurette which gives "The Walking Dead" fans a behind-the-scenes look at the cast and crew as they prepare to film the first episode of the upcoming sixth season of the show.
In the almost three-minute clip, actor Michael Cudlitz (Abraham) went around the Georgia set to interview some of fellow cast members.
He first chatted with new mama Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha) who said that she's excited to be back on set because the season 5 finale "ended in a really compelling note." She added that she's hoping to find out "a lot" more things about the Wolves this new installment.
Cudlitz then talked to returning cast member Lennie James (Morgan) and asked him what's like to be back on the show. "It's a little surreal. I'm not gonna to lie to you," James replied. "It's a little like I've been here forever and I've never been here."
The "Southland" alum also asked James if fans are going to know how Morgan got his ninja-like skills this season. To which James replied, "I think I know, but I'm not sure."
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly this past March, James briefly offered an explanation about his character's shocking transformation.
"I can tell you that much like the transformation from the first pilot episode to 'Clear' where there was an incident in the sense that Morgan lost his wife and his son -- and we saw the affect that had on him in 'Clear'-- an incident has happened to Morgan again," the 49-year-old actor told the outlet at the time.
"He has come across someone who has kind of led him and redirected him to another path," he continued. "And what we've met in the finale of season 5 and we may well witness is season 6 is the result of that incident.
Cudlitz also talked to Lauren Cohan (Maggie), Christian Serratos (Rosita) and Danai Gurira (Michonne) in the behind-the-scenes clip.
But the highlight of the featurette is when Norman Reedus (Daryl) comes out from nowhere and seemingly kisses Gurira in the lips while the latter is being interviewed by Cudlitz.
As to what fans can expect from the upcoming season, Cudlitz said that it's "going to be phenomenal." "The first episode is going to blow your mind," he added. "[It's a] huge huge episode. It's amazing."
"The Walking Dead" returns to AMC in October.
