Theo James and Shailene Woodley's onscreen chemistry on "Insurgent" was very realistic.

Two of this year's hottest onscreen couples are "Fifty Shades Darker" stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson and "Allegiant" stars Theo James and Shailene Woodley.

All four actors received positive and negative reviews for their acting in their respective movies, namely: "Fifty Shades of Grey" and "Insurgent."

The onscreen couples also received praises and criticisms for their onscreen chemistry, with some people saying that Dornan and Dakota had more chemistry over James and Woodley.

Fans of James and Woodley couldn't disagree more because they believe that the couple's onscreen chemistry is more natural and as such, is less forced.

Dornan and Johnson may appear to have had more onscreen chemistry because their roles on the "Fifty Shades" franchise required them to be very physical and intimate with one another.

Majority of the scenes on "Fifty Shades of Grey" focused on the couple's private moments, while James and Woodley didn't have as much of those in their films.

On the other hand, James and Woodley's onscreen chemistry may appear to be more natural and more pleasant on the eyes, especially since "Divergent" and "Insurgent" were not classified as BDSM films.

James and Woodley's chemistry appeared to showcase more of their real feelings for one another - feelings that are borne out of their desire to save their own faction.

In one of the scenes on "Insurgent," the couple was simply sleeping beside each other but that moment was so impactful to the viewers because it seemed real.

Dornan and Johnson had several of the same intimate moments but because the film was centered on rough and very physical intercourse, the onscreen chemistry of both actors didn't seem to be very easy on the eyes.

Not to mention, James and Woodley's onscreen chemistry is more natural and wholesome compared to that of Dornan and Johnson's.

It is quite difficult to say that Dornan's onscreen chemistry with Johnson is nothing compared to James' chemistry with Woodley.

For one, Dornan portrayed the role of Christian Grey, a guy who does not really believe in love or getting into serious relationships.

However, all of this may change when the film's second installment, "Fifty Shades Darker" is released by Universal Pictures.
