Lil Wayne has listed his Miami mega-mansion for $18 million.
The Miami Beach mansion, which resides on the exclusive island of La Gorce in Biscayne Bay, was purchased by Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. in 2006 for $11.6 million, with 15,000-square-feet of living space which also includes a three-bedroom guest home on the property.
The Florida home offers some unusual features including a glass elevator to the master suite and a rooftop skate park. The contemporary mansion combines a melding of materials — glass, steel, wood — to provide an industrial, yet naturally lit space.
Despite recent reports of an alleged shooting at Lil Wayne's home that injured four people, the claim turned out to be a hoax. Wayne spoke about deciding to list the property and told the Daily News, "It has nothing to do with the recent prank calls or anything like that."
According to Trulia, the main house includes nine bedrooms, 10 bathrooms and serene views of the water. If the mansion is sold at the current asking price, Wayne will make a $6.4 million profit off the sale — sounds like a comfortable return on investment.
